We have been really busy here lately. Luckas is literally in the "go go go toddler stage". He has learned how to climb the couch and he goes over to Justins computer and stands on it. Not safe, so we literally cant keep our eyes off him for 2 seconds. He is just growing up way to fast! I took him to the water park on base and he HATED it. He is not a sprinkler man, he is more of a pool man:)We just busted out his "baby" pool from last year and he had a blast in it!! Might have to get him a little bigger one, but the pool is right down the road from us. He is learning new words all the time, but does it in his own little way. He likes to copy what you say which can be so funny. We will be in the commissary, in the frozen food section. They have polar bears on top and goes WOOOOW WOOOOW, after I just said it. He now loves to have everything we have!! Such a little stinker:)
Justin is busy with school and work so thats been his main focus, since his classes are coming on more and more. Cant wait for him to be done with school:) I have been super busy chasing after Luckas. Taking my own classes online and running OJP:) I cant express how it feels to get behind my camera lens. I cant explain it but I just get a rush when I'm taking peoples photos. And then seeing the photos come out the way they do, just makes it even better for me. I cant wait to learn more:)

No More Sippy Cups During Naps..
Luckas is finally feeling better after his little "virus" that he caught. We never thought he was going to get better, just seemed like it was getting worse. But thank goodness he is better. We are also guess he has allergies so thats going to be fun every year with all three of us having allergies:) He is also off baby food and has been since about late February. It was more me since he didnt have that many teeth and I was worried he wasnt going to be able to eat table food regularly for 3 meals a day. So we started feeding his "big boy" food and at first he would let us feed him with no problem. Remind you there is no handbook about parenting. But the past month we thought he was going through this phase of throwing a fit in his high chair and refused to eat his food we would feed him. NOPE, he has become Mr. Independent over night and he wants to feed himself, plus do it all on his own. Kinda makes me sad that right now he doesnt want his mommy to do anything for him, but I have to remind myself this is his way of growing up. Sleeping through the night is officially a success now. He doesnt cry anymore or wake up during the night. And another bonus, we started giving him water in his sippy cup when he goes down for a nap or bedtime. We tuck him in and hand him the cup, he pushes it away or he throws it after taking a sip. We know he doesnt drink it because its the same amount that we put in. So thats a double whammy. He is talking ALOT more in his baby babble and is testing the waters like all toddlers do to get their way when they want something, so thats been fun. He is also sneaky and smart, he knows how to press the child proof locks that are on the cabinets. He can now reach the 4th shelf on the dvd rack, he knows his certain key words like buh-bye, go give your dad a kiss or are you hungry, is it time for a bath? He is just so smart:) I cant believe he is going to be 14 months this month, time is FLYING ON BY. Well thats a little update about Luckas.

Apple & Sage Pork Chops
I found this recipe through McCormick it came in a little package, but you can just get this stuff on your own. I am so glad that I decided to cook this tonight.YUMMM, I hope you all will like it as much as Justin & I did:)
Ingredients:
1 1/2 McCormick Rubbed Sage
1 tsp. McCormick Minced Garlic
1 tsp. McCormick Thyme Leaves
1/2 tsp. McCormick Ground Allspice
1/2 tsp. McCormick Paprika
1 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
4 boneless pork chops (1 inch thick)
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 medium onion,thinly sliced
2 red apples, thinly sliced
1/2 cup apple juice
1 tbsp. brown sugar
Directions:
1.MIX flour,all of the spices and salt in a small bowl.Sprinkle both sides of pork chops with 1 tablespoon of the seasoned flour.
2.COOK pork chops in hot oil in large skills on medium-high heat until browned on both sides.Remove from skillet. Add onions; cook and stir 3 minutes or until tender. Add apples; cook and stir 2 minutes.
3.STIR in juice, sugar and remaining seasoned flour until well mixed. Return pork chops to skillet. Bring to boil. Reduce hear to low; cover and simmer 5 minutes or until desired doneness.

Warning:TMI When Reading This Post...
DOCTOR VISIT: Luckas has been sick since Friday early morning. He threw up his milk after his morning nap. I gave him some meds and gave him a bath. He was acting just fine so we ran to the Library & to the Commissary and as we were driving away from the commissary I smell this smell from this morning. I look in my rear view mirror and Luckas is getting sick in his car seat..I pull over into the homestore parking lot and take care of him till we can get home which is like 2 minutes away. I called Justin to tell him what was going on. He comes home early to help me out with him. It was already to let to get an appointment at the hospital. And we both didn't want to sit in the ER. He had some bad #2 diapers and that was freaking us out, but he did fine till Saturday night right when we were putting him to bed he got sick again:( Took care of that problem. Sunday he was acting fine and didn't get sick. He went to bed and during the night he started coughing and it was wheezy & his voice sounded rough. He woke up this morning and it just sounded beyond NOT okay. Made him an appointment to be seen and got one to my surprise:) His pediatrician said that his lungs were sounding good, no congestion. He cough sounds like he is draining from his nose. His exzema is starting to flair up which we got some of his medication for. Other than that the she said that he most likely has a stomach & head cold virus (she used some other words..lol) So Iam hoping that he gets better soon. Seems like he is ALWAYS sick. But I guess little toddlers are expected for that to happens!

Garage Door Lesson:D
Sometimes Justin can be very forgetful about the little things. And thats fine, I understand when he is in a hurry he will just leave something somewhere, its something.
So today before Luckas and I left for our playdate this afternoon. I told Justin to make sure he doesnt forget to lock the back door good. We go to our playdate and Luckas had fun playing with Peyton M. at the park. Well its getting to be Luckas' afternoon naptime. We are driving home and I notice that someone on our block left their garage door open. I literally think to myself how pissed I would be if Justin did that. As I get closer to the stop sign I count the houses...its OUR HOUSE!! I pull into the driveway and get out of the car to check the house before I bring Luckas in and THANKFULLY NOTHING was stolen. Someone could of literally walked into our house, grabbed my camera, both our laptops,justins xbox and if they had help Justins nice new tv!!!
I go grab Luckas after I know the coast is clear. Iam so livid with Justin I decide to call his work to have a little "chat" with him. I call and one of his co-workers answers and he gets Justin for me. He gets on the phone and I ask him if he left the garage door open, he tells me no. I ask him again if he is 110%. He says he cant remember. He asks me why. I tell him that his tv is gone & both our laptops are gone, that someone had came into our house and stole our stuff. He is freaking out and asks me if I called PMO. I tell him yes they are on their way (at this point I just want to laugh bc he is falling for it)!! I ask him what he is going to do as of getting his tv and our laptops back. He tells me he is going to break into everyones house till he finds his tv. LMAO. Then I tell him Iam joking and that I hope he learned his lesson to NOT LEAVE the garage door open again. Because we are VERY lucky no one came and stole our stuff.

Its One Of THOSE Days...blah
Today is just really one of those days where I just want to go back to bed & wish it was tomorrow!haha But that cant happen or all hell would literally break loose in our house.
Luckas' ear appointment went really well:) His ears look great the doctor said. She said that she wants to see him in a year to a year and a half for a check up! She says we need to stop COLD TURKEY with letting him go to bed with a sippy cup. Easier said then done. Maybe its just me but I would rather tackle one thing at a time with Luckas. As of right now we are trying to tackle him sleeping through the night. So the next step it will be no more sippy cup during nap time/bed time..but its going to take some time!! Other than that, he is doing great.He didnt go to sleep like they wanted him to but hey, I kinda had an idea he wouldnt!
And then my crappy day begins after that. I shut off my phone because in the Audiology office cell phones have to be turned off. We go get lunch at Del-Taco, they messed up our order, no suprise there! Luckas goes down for a 15 minute nap. Wakes up and we head to the Naval Hospital to get his finger pricked. He did GREAT:) Then its off to WIC. I try turning on my cell so I could call Justin to tell him how good Luckas did and that we were on our way to WIC. My phone doesnt turn on it does its little loading sundial thing it does since its a stupid smartphone blackberry! I FINALLY get it to turn on to call Justin and tell him whats up. Luckas is being a pooper climbing all over the WIC play table. He wouldnt take no for an answer. Then after sitting there for over 30 minutes the lady calls me up to tell me that I gave her the wrong "proof of new address"!FREAKING LOVELY, we pay all our bills online and we do paperless for most of everything.She told me I either went and got something to prove I lived there before 4pm today or I would be taken off WIC.Freaking B---- was rude about it!So I run to the bank, phone still a pile and I cant get a new phone till the 13th. And the bank is being a pain in my rear. Luckas is freaking out bc he hasnt had lunch. So McDonalds we shall go. That made him happy, went back to WIC and got everything settled!! And its not even the end of the day yet! So Iam just hoping that nothing else comes bad.Okay Iam pooped from writing.

Ear Tests
We had a blast this weekend with the Mac's coming to visit us. I know Luckas enjoyed hanging out with Logan very much. Its been a few months since they last saw eachother, so it was a very well needed visit. Those two are basically glued to eachother when they get together.haha They both had to push the walker together. They played together without fighting, they just hang-out. It was really funny because we were out to dinner and Logan reaches over and feeds Luckas a piece of grilled cheese. It was so adorable:)Luckas has finally mastered the climbing. He will use ANYTHING to get to where he wants to go. Cracks me up because he will get so mad if it doesnt go to plan. I swear I have a monkey on my hands!!!! But I cant complain, I love everything about our little man. He is so independent, its sad at times since I still want to do certain things for him:( But I know it is a process and it has to come sooner or later. He has also mastered on how to open up the baby-proof cabinet things that you have to push down to get the door to open. Little stinker-bug!!
I am pretty sure Luckas & I will be heading back to the great plains of KANSAS♥ either in June or August this year for a few weeks:) I'm pretty excited since I get to see two of my favorite girls. I will be doing a homecoming shoot for one of them since her hubby is coming home as well. But Iam just excited to be able to be going home & seeing family/friends. I will be be able to visit some family so they can see Luckas while we are back.Gosh, to be back for a Kansas summer...amazing to me:)Just reminds me of when I was growing up and how much fun I had every summer going camping,fishing,hanging out with friends, the rodeo before schoool started! Ugh..okay Iam really getting homesick now!!
Now for the kinda big news.Luckas is going to go get tested tomorrow morning for his ear infection problems that he has been having. Granted he has only had one double ear infection and just one single ear infection. They have been pretty bad for him:( So we are going to Yucca to get him checked out.Tonight is going to be a long night because he has to stay up REALLY late and wake up SUPER early and then we have to make sure he doesnt fall asleep on his way to Yucca so he falls asleep in their office so they can run some ear tests on him. Iam praying that everything comes out okay and they tell us that he doesnt need to get tubes in his ears. So Iam crossing my fingers and saying a prayer for him to get some good news.I will write more when we know more.It may not seem like a big deal to anyone else, but to me getting tubes in is a big deal to me!!!
